Our Living Legend Tracy Crawford Kincaide is a phenomenal woman in every sense. She has accomplished so much in her professional career, her profile will consist of Part I and Part II. Tracy's family lived on Adams Street in the Village of Brooklyn. She attended and graduated school in Brooklyn. At an early age (5 years old), her sweet personality and cuteness overload melted Mrs. Margaret Ivory's heart who taught kindergarten at the Little School. Tracy credits Mrs. Ivory with grooming her to become the lady that she is today.

Tracy mastered anything placed on her plate. Mrs. Gladys Creer, who was the English and drama teacher recognized a spark in Tracy that outshone her peers. She was a mentor and drama coach to Tracy while attending high school. Mrs Creer cast Tracy in several school plays as a lead which she credits to developing her stage and film careers.

She was a flutist in the school band under the guidance of Mr. George Hudson. In Tracy Crawford style, she approached this opportunity with a ferocious appetite to be the best flutist in the band. Mr Hudson recognized her talent and dedication. She became first chair flutist in the school band which won several awards in the state of Illinois. He knew that Tracy was a student who would achieve greatness if she was in a different environment where she coukd seize opportunities that would allow her to soar. To ensure she was given the chance she deserved, he made a call to a music colleague who played during the Big Band Era. He was instrumental in Tracy receiving a full ride scholarship to Mississippi Valley State University. As he predicted, Tracy's world expanded. Her charming personality and determination opened doors that led her to depart our hometown and migrate to Chicago Illinois. It was here that Tracy's career in composing, writing and singing music, as well as blooming into an actress began.

Part 2

Brooklyn Living Legend Tracy Crawford Kincaide left Brooklyn and made Chicago her home when she was 29. When I talked with her for this profile update, she told me that her relationship with God and being a twice breast cancer survivor were two things dear to her heart. She might blast me for saying this, but when it comes to striving to adhere to the tenants of Christianity, Tracy is the real deal. She's not the type who memorizes scripture and preaches her religion to others. Tracy has burned those scriptures in heart and puts them into action. She's not preachy with it. Instead, she encourages by example.

She founded Forever Hope Foundation in 2015. This organization serves the underprivileged citizens of Chicago, focusing on the needs of children and the homeless. This charitable organization has made an impact on the community, making a difference and improving the lives of many.

Tracy is an accomplished composer, song writer and singer. Her single, "The Time Is Now," has charted. She was a member of "100 Voices" who accompanied Barbara Streisand in concert. She was a cast member in several stage plays, including "The Preachers Kid" and "The Untold Stories." Tracy has 3 music videos under her belt, "School Is Cool," "For Me, and "The Time Is Now." She is a cast member in the series "Seasoned" which can be seen on Tubi and "My House My Rules." She was an extra in an episode of Chicago PD. Look for the sister in the black hat.

She is a contributing author as well ("When Warriors Talk God Listens" and "The Breast Is Yet To Come").

I have a feeling that HSOBI will need to update Tracy's profile again before the year ends because this hometown girl keeps climbing.

Thank you Tracy. You represent the best of Brooklyn.
