Rev. Fr. Michael Costello's Grave Site
The images below show Father Costello's grave in St. Peter's Catholic cemetery in Harpers Ferry. This monument stone was erected in 1894 by the "Priests of Harpers Ferry," and was carved by T.M. Torner of Martinsburg, West Virginia. The worn and moss-covered inscription states that Fr. Costello was born in Ireland and died in Harpers Ferry in 1867. The bottom image shows the view from the grave site out over the Blue Ridge gap.
